A legal officer ranks high in the hierarchy of justice administration. They are tasked with a great responsibility of making sure that justice will be serve, not necessarily to those who wants it or deserves it but rather, it must be serve to the people who are constitutionally framed and clothed to have it.

Just like lawyers and the Public Accountants these agents will help defend the taxpayers, individual or groups, attain a just taxation procedure. However, this is not automatic. In order for a person to be an agent he must pass the IRS examinations. And to attain this, he must prepare himself through feeding information using an EA study material IRS test.

When one is looking for book, the challenge and struggle is real. Picking just any kind of book is not a good idea. You have to ponder on it because it will be practically unwise to spend your penny in a book that is not good.

Before anything else, research about the author. As an enrolled agent your tasked will be mainly in the legal department, specifically the tax office and bureaus. Before buying a reference you must have an idea as to the author thereof.

Further, the subject matter is generally on the tax. Your study material should involve its philosophy and application. And for the record these two things are different from each other, in all aspects. Do not be deceived.

The material must be a complete package consisting jurisprudence and practical application. Although completeness is not really a goal of perfect attainment because an author cannot be mystically presumed to have known all the things there is in the topic. But at least the material should touch every aspect of the law.

A quick scan in the table of contents will provide you a clue as to the wideness and grasp the book has. The contents are very important. It must be complete. Or at the very least it must provide wide latitude of coverage to cover the theory and jurisprudence that will apply.

The author of the book must be a person of interest in the taxation field. Of course you do not want to discriminate on this aspect. But do not brush the idea also that it is an advantage to have a book that is authored by someone who is an expert in the field. This will give an additional factor to your reference and the confidence that your book is a good source.

The duty of an enrolled agent is more than just making sure that the numbers are correct for taxation purpose. More than that, it must be engraved that an agent is an administrator of justice, a court officers. And above all, he is an agent to the inherent power of the State to tax its people.
