Veterans are perceived differently by different people; to some people, they are the freedom fighters, to others heroes while some see them as activists. While all the perceptions are true, veterans are more of that as they are the people who sacrificed their lives for the sake of a better society and for this, they deserve more than just recognition but compensation for the experiences they had to go through for a better today. Offering farm loans for veterans is a nice way of appreciating them and securing their future just like they did for us.

The veterans lost a lot of time and resources in their fight for the rights and freedoms that people enjoy today. The fair thing to do is returning the favor by giving them the opportunity to build a sustainable life for their remaining days since without them we would not be enjoying the privileges we enjoy today.

It is unfortunate how some of these freedom fighters are languishing in poverty while we enjoy the freedom they attained. Despite the many programs that have been put up to reintegrate them in society. The problem is that most people easily judge other and in their case they are seen as a threat with a lot of people referring them as a ticking bomb.

This is as a result of the post-traumatic stress they are diagnosed with after their missions due to the traumatic experiences they go through in these missions. With proper psychological treatment, this condition is manageable curable and therefore these heroes need to be given a chance as they are our friends, neighbors and to some family.

For many years, most veterans have had a difficult time getting jobs after returning back to their families and this is frustrating because most of them are skilled and can handle many jobs. Because of this frustration, some of these heroes have in the past resorted to illegal activities in order to put food on the table. This always leads to many messy criminal situations due to the military skills they possess.

When given land by the government, the heroes are left with the task of seeking additional resources and revenues required to successfully practice farming. This situation brings up the idea of offering the subsidies to these heroes in terms of farm loans, to finance the whole farming process.

As part of the programs meant to enhance the succesfulness of these projects, hosting empowering seminars is seen as a great way to introduce them into this venture or rather empower them so they can run the business successfully.

Despite being the beneficiaries of the efforts of these heroes who choose to sacrifice themselves for the greater good, they still fail to offer a helping hand to them whenever they are in need. For this, the government have been left with the task of funding all the programs that works towards reintegrating them in society and helping them settle and earn a living like everyone else.
